TV election debates to include 'entire-voting age public'

After arguments about who should and should not be invited to the TV election debates, broadcasters have drawn up a plan that will see every member of the voting-age public of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland invited to participate.

Previously, arguments about which parties constituted a 'major' party centred around whether the Green Party had enough support to warrant inclusion despite regularly out-polling the Liberal Democrats and having an infinite percentage more MPs than UKIP at the last election. Regional parties such as the SNP and Plaid Cymru were also in, out, in, out and shaken all about.

But after discussions between the broadcasters, a plan has been formulated to ensure all views and opinions will be fairly represented. "After taking soundings from focus groups", a spokesman told us on emerging from all-night talks, "we came to the conclusion that seeing as everyone has a different opinion, the only way to represent that was by inviting everyone. So we're ordering 47 million podiums and trying to find a big enough hall.

Yes the logistics are tough", the spokesman continued, "but this is the only way to reflect the current mood that suggests nobody really knows what they want from this election, just not them lot".
